Structured, unstructured, focus groups
Advantages of structured interviews
Shows different opinions, interviewer can compare responses due to being the same question
Disadvantages of structured interviews
Can be biased due to cage, might be limited answers because the question have been made before
Advantages of unstructured interviews
Flexible meaning they can have the full story, also has a high level of validity
Disadvantages of unstructured interviews
Time consuming and expensive, data is hard to replicate because each interview is different meaning the data is qualitative
Advantages of group interviews
Make individuals feel comfortable due to them being with other people
Disadvantages of group interviews
Some people might dominate the answering of question, no guarantee of confidentiality in a group setting
