loss of eye contact, adjusting clothing/jewelry, crossing legs, rubbing hands/neck, smiling at inappropriate times
physical and psychological reactions
needs to qualify answer, will “suggest”, “could” be wrong
untruthful behavior
truthful person will become____when accused
angry
deceitful person will____to answer questions
take a long time
verbal lie detections
did you do it (watch for reaction), have you told me everything, has everything you told me been the truth
considerations that effect interview process
status of suspect/vicim, personal data, emotional state, attitude of victim/suspect

judge, show biases, show anger, be sarcastic
