I am still trying to get a visa, because when i went to the italian consulate of new york last november, the clerk told me that i should come back when I had a b5 or c1. I dont think b5 exists 😂😅
Sto ancora cercando di prendere un visto, perché quando sono andata al consolato italiano di new york lo scorso novembre, l’impiegata mi ha detto che devo tornare quando avrò il livello b5 o c1. Non credo che b5 esista 😅😂
So I started studying every day with a private Italian teacher to improve my level. My new appointment at the consulate is set for February 1.
Così ho iniziato a studiare ogni giorno con un’insegnante privata di italiano per migliore il mio livello. Il mio nuovo appuntamento al consolato è fissato per il primo febbraio
I hope it will go much better than the first time, so I can get my student visa and start studying Italian and living in milan
Spero che andrà molto meglio della prima volta, così potrò ottenere il mio visto da studente e iniziare a studiare l’italiano e vivere a milano
But enough about me, how did you spend the end of the year holidays?
Ma basta parlare di me, come hai passato il tuo natale e capodanno ?
The vacation went well. I was in the states. When I’m there, I stay with my sister in her apartment in Brooklyn.
Le vacanze sono andate bene. Ero negli stati uniti. Quando sono lì, sto da mia sorella nel suo appartamento di brooklyn
For Christmas we went together to our parents’ house in New Jersey. We made a traditional Polish dinner called “wigilia supper” with fish and perogi, it was nice to be together
Per natale siamo andate insieme a casa dei nostri genitori nel new jersey. Abbiamo preparato una cena tradizionale polacca chiamata “wigilia supper” con pesce e perogi, è stato bello stare insieme
My sister and I went back to Brooklyn for a few days and then for New Year’s Eve we went to Pennsylvania to my parents’ new house (this year they are retiring and moving from new jersey to pennsylvania) and there we were joined by our older sister with her two children, it was really nice. Their new house is in the middle of the forest, so it is very quiet
Mia sorella ed io siamo tornate a brooklyn per qualche giorno e poi per capodanno siamo andate in Pennsylvania nella nuova casa dei miei genitori (quest’anno andranno in pensione e si trasferiranno dal new jersey alla pennsylvania) e lì ci ha raggiunto la nostra sorella maggiore con i suoi due figli, è stato davvero bello. La loro nuova casa è in mezzo alla foresta, quindi è molto tranquilla
Yes after fifteen years of living in new york I am excited to live in a quieter place like milano. Maybe for Italians milano is not calm, but for me it is. I love the people, the architecture, the food, I can take my dog everywhere. I am very happy in milan, it is a city that inspires me a lot. So I’m crossing my fingers and this time I hope to get the visa. I will go to New York with my fingers crossed.
Sì dopo quindici anni di vita a new york sono entusiasta di vivere in un posto più tranquillo come milano. Forse per gli italiani milano non è calma, ma per me lo è. Amo la gente, l’architettura, il cibo, posso portare la mia cagnolina ovunque. Sono molto felice a milano, è una citta che mi ispira molto. Quindi incrocio le dita e questa volta spero di ottenere il visto. Andrò a new york con le dita incrociate.
