Explain the difference between open ended, closed, and opinion questions?

A

Open ended:
They can’t answer yes or no.
Example: “When is the last time you ate?”

Closed ended:
They can’t answer easily answer with a yes or no.
Example: “Did you eat lunch?”

Opinion questions:
Any question that solicits somebody’s opinion rather than a fact.
Example: “what do you think about…”, “how do you feel about…”, and “in your opinion…”

Explain and give an example of a backward reaching question.

A

A backward reaching question is a question asked instead of answering a question.

Examples:
A straight question: “How many eyes do 3 people have altogether?” The backward reaching question: “If you see 6 eyes, how many people are there?”
