Interstitial diseases Flashcards
Nonspecific interstitial pneumonia (NSIP)
Bilateral ground-glass
reticular opacities ± traction bronchiectasis ± peribronchovascular fibrosis
Subpleural sparing
lack of honeycombing
lower lung predominance
fibrotic and cellular NSIP
Usual Interstitial Pneumonia (UIP)
irregular reticulation/ fibrosis, traction bronchiectasis
posterior basal subpleural honeycombing
Cryptogenic Organizing Pneumonia COP
mixed consolidation and GGO in peripheral and peribonchovascular distribution
Reverse halo/atoll sign (central lucency surrounded by halo opacity)
Respiratory Bronchiolitis ILD ( RB ILD)
Centrilobular nodules and patchy GGO in random distribution
smokers
Desquamative Interstitial Pneumonia (DIP)
basal predominant patchy or subpleural GGO more extensive than RB ILD.
May be a few cysts
smokers
Lymphoid Interstitial Pneumonia (LIP)
diffuse or lower lobe predominant GGO.
scattered thin walled perivascular cysts
Acute Interstitial Pneumonia (AIP)
Extensive GGO
