Focusing - To focus attention on something of interest
Comparison - To bring out similarities and differences between things
Inference - To help to generalize or reason beyond the information you have given:

Problem-solving - To get the group to think of solutions to real-world problems and issues
Application - To get the group to see how certain information applies in different

Cause-and-effect - To get them to think about relationships that explain the occurrence of
