God in His infinite wisdom and love, wants us to discover His rich and meaningful message of love written all over in the Sacred Scriptures.
Exegesis
It is the meaning the human author of the text directly intended to convey to his audience.
Literal Sense
Consist of patterns and parallelism. We can acquire a more profound understanding of events by recognizing their significance in Christ.
Allegorical Sense
The events reported in Scripture ought to lead us to act justly. As St. Paul says, they were written “for our instruction”
Moral Sense
Our humility to accept our shortcomings and mistakes and the will to change our wrongdoings make us righteous
Moral Instruction
- Concerned with the interpretation of the relationship of the Sacred Scriptures to the eternal glory that awaits us-the goal of our journey in life toward the Kingdom of God.
- focuses on the eschatological = salvation (the ultimate goal of our faith)
Anagogical Sense
