Always ask the assets, ‘what can i do to help?’
with the assignments youve given them
Company goals
Become the goals of your employees the minute you issue the command
These are “your asset’s” goals now, follow up with them as a friend would asking how progress is moving on THEIR life goals
Importance of investing yourself in your employees lives
Host events, company picnics, parties ect.
You need to SEE the lives (employees families) that depend on your employees work, and in turn, your ability to lead
The way you need to think of your employees
Your RESPONSIBILITY
These are your people, you have to look after them
The importance of no executive perks
Undermines the work done by those team members
Importance of eating lunch with your team
You breed a sense of family within your company
Makes you the patriarch of your company
Daily things you can DO for your employees
1) Make the coffee
2) Eat your lunch with them
3) End every assignment with “and if you need some help, let me know.”
4) Give the orders directly to the team, not the managers
5) Use the word “Congradulations”
6) Use the phrase “Im proud of you”
The target in-office attitude
Equality
Its not out of line for the CEO to directly assist a team member
But the team member must feel they are just as indispensable as the CEO
Importance of knowing how to do all aspects of your business (legal, programming, sales, support, ect)
Need to be able to get in there and help when needed
