What are some differences between UDP and TCP?
TCP establishes connection before sending messages.
UDP is connectionless.
TCP is reliable (establishes connection before sending and waits for acknowledgement)
UDP is unreliable.
TCP provides flow control (it can slow down transmission to keep from overwhelming the receiver)
TCP provides congestion control (it can slow down if networks are overloaded)
UDP is streamlined, faster, and lightweight.
TCP is used for email which is less time sensitive.
UDP is good for DNS lookup and VoIP.
