What is connection speed?
Connection Speed is defined as the speed that data is transferred between your computer and the Providers Central Office. The two types of speed are receiving (downloading) and sending (uploading).

Data Rate is defined as the number of bits per second (bps) used to transmit a digital video and audio stream (higher data rates generally translate to better video quality, especially with high-speed motion scenes).

What is bandwidth?
The term bandwidth, as it relates to the Internet, refers to the volume of information per unit of time that a transmission medium (like an Internet connection) can handle.
Think about data as water and bandwidth as a pipe the water will flow through. As the bandwidth (pipe) increases, the amount of data (water) that can flow through in a given amount of time increases. If the size of the pipe increases (bandwidth), more water (data) can flow through during a period of time. An Internet connection with a larger bandwidth can move a set amount of data (say, a video file) much faster than an Internet connection with a lower bandwidth. Spectrum Business Backup protects email, documents, spreadsheets, photos, videos, database files, etc. This service is available at no extra cost to Spectrum Business Internet customers and does not require additional hardware or software backup.

- Cloud Backups: backup and restore files

Web hosting services provide a value to the customer that will result in cost savings with easy to use tools. This allows customers to enjoy the convenience of having their web site hosted by the same trusted Internet provider. Spectrum Business’ Web Hosting Key Features include:
- 25 custom POP/IMAP Mailboxes with OWA (Microsoft Outlook Web Access)
- 2000MB of web storage
- Mailbox Quota
- Unlimited Transfer Bandwidth
- Sitebuilder (https://www.sitebuilder.com/) – site with thousands of website templates for business to easily design a custom webpage.
- 10 FTP (File Transfer Protocol) Accounts

- 1 Domain included (registered via a third party) All post-installation questions regarding web hosting (includes technical support and troubleshooting) are handled by Spectrum’s inbound CARE (customer support) team.
What is Spectrum Wifi?
Spectrum WiFi A free WiFi connection for the patrons of our business customers. Spectrum WiFi enables business service customers to provide WiFi network access to their patrons. It allows Charter Internet customers free WiFi access using their Charter credentials. Installation Installation is fully supported by Charter and is included at no additional charge with Spectrum Business Internet for qualifying small business customers.
Eligibility
• Only businesses with a public patron area (seating area, waiting area, foot traffic, etc.) will be eligible for Spectrum Wi-Fi.
Who can gain access to Spectrum Wifi?
Access
- The patrons of Spectrum Business Internet Customers will be able to access the service at Spectrum Wi-Fi locations with their Charter Identity (charter.net or Spectrum Business.net username) with no additional charge.
- Provides the capability for a 30 minute free trial for non-Charter customers or Charter customers who do not currently subscriber to Internet service.
What comes with the Spectrum Wifi?

- An indoor WiFi access point is installed for FREE at qualifying Spectrum Business Internet customer locations. • FREE access for Employees of Spectrum Business Internet Customers. • Only businesses with a public patron area will be eligible for Spectrum WiFi.
What is Business Wifi?
Available Private Business WiFi Options Business WiFi is WiFi for their private business network and cannot be accessed by anyone using the public Spectrum WiFi Hotspot network.
- Business WiFi is a private indoor WiFi Access Point.
- Business Wi-Fi is an additional $4.99 per month.
