What are top down projects?
Development projects that are initiated and run by the government - usually large scale and very expensive
What are bottom up projects?
Development projects that are run by local community groups - usually smaller scale and lower cost
What is emergency/short - term aid?
Needed after sudden disasters
What is conditional/tied aid?
When one country donates money or resources to another but with conditions attached
What is charitable aid?
Funded by donations from the public through organisations
What is long term or development aid?
Involves providing local communities with education and skills for sustainable development, usually through organisations
What is multilateral aid?
Given through international organisations rather than by one specific country
