Semblance
The outward appearance or apparent form of something, especially when reality is diffrent.
Luxuriant
(of vegetation) Rich and profuse in growth; lush.
Demesne
A piece of land attached to a manor and retained y the owner for their own use.
Scion
A young shoot or twig of a plant, especially one cut for grafting or rooting.
A descendant of a notable family.
Recrudescence
The recurrence of an undesirable condition.
Casement
A window or part of a window set on vertical hinges so that it opens like a door.
Adumbration
The shadow or faint image of something.

A public ceremony during which the sentences upon those brought before the Spanish Inquisition were read and after which the sentences were executed by the secular authorities.

A court which formerly sat at intervals in each county of England and Wales to administer the civil and criminal law. In 1972 the civil jurisdiction of assizes was transferred to the High Court, and the criminal jurisdiction to the Crown Court.
