Symbiosis is any type of a close and long-term biological interaction between different biological organisms.

explain Mutualism
a symbiotic relationship where both organisms benefit (eg. bees and flowers).
explain commensalism
a symbiotic relationship where one species benefits from the interaction, while the other is neither harmed or helped. (eg. birds and trees, fish travelling with shark)

a symbiotic relationship where one specie benefits for the expense of the other, so one gains the other is harmed (eg. ticks on dogs).

explain Mycorrhiza
symbiotic association between a fungus and a plant. the fungi lives in the roots of the plants and help them absorb water and nutrients from the soil. while the plant gives sugar to the fungi that they produce in photosynthesis. it is beneficial for both.
