Assertion
its purpose is to express ideas or feelings directly

Example:

Empathic assertion
It involves FIRST PRONOUN “I” and is useful for EXPRESSING NEGATIVE FEELINGS

Example:
i can not be with you anymore
because i feel we’re getting toxic and complicated. So i want us to fix ourselves, and then we’ll maybe reconnect together.
Language assertion
It occurs when somone is NOT ABLE TO GIVE A RESPONSE to a basic assertion, and therefore the person becomes firm about him or her
