Q

What is “The implementation level of description” of a device?

A

The role each of the physical parts of a device play in implementing the device’s algorithm - Which physical bits are relevant for which steps of the algorithm.

Q

What is the McGurk effect?

A

when visual stimuli conflicts with audio stimuli and one overrides how the brain interprets the other e.g:
the sound of someone saying “ba ba ba ba” with a video of someone saying “da da da da” will sound like “da da da da”.

Q

What can we assume about how some mental illnesses work?

A

They cause distortions in the prior beliefs of the brain causing the ill person to come to erroneous posterior beliefs about their environment.
