A
  • must have all 3 (a, b, c)
    a) has defects in intellectual functioning confirmed by both clinical assessment & individualised standardised intelligence testing
    b) needs to be deficits in adaptive functioning that result in failure to meet developmental & socio-cultural standards for personal independence & social responsibility
    c) onset of symptoms within the developmental period
