To apply for one, design must be a new idea, have an industrial application and not spoken about to anyone. to avoid wasting time and money search through exisiting patterns first for reference.

An original authorship including artistic, literacy and other work. doesn’t protect the idea itself. gives full control over publication, lasts 70 years after creators death. Recognised internationally

A word, phrase symbol, design, colour or other distinguishing feature that distinguishes the service. Allows consumer to know that they are buying goods from the brand, protects the brand. Allows to file for infigement if someone tries to make something simialr. Apply at Intelectual Property Office, renew every 10 years.

Protects and prevents copy of the 3d form. Wont be granted if simialr product exists.

Design Registration (External Shape + Aesthetics

Protects the external shape (by that I mean like the coca cola bottle design) or aesthetics of a product. Lasts up to 5 years with a max of 25 years. Can be bought,sold, or licensied by the owner.
