Psoriasis

Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Epidermis- discoloration of skin and ulcers- treatment: surgery, cryotherapy- prevention: wear sunscreen- from exposure to UV
Vitiligo
Epidermis; spots, patches of lighter skin- treatment: steroids- prevention: there are none(genetics)
Warts
Epidermis- rough skin, black sprinkled dots (clotted blood vessels)- treatment: vaccines, cryotherapy, nonprescription wart removal- prevention: don’t pick at it (have a band-aid)
Acne
Dermis, epidermis- white/black heads, pimples–treatment- store brought remedies; healthy diets (hormones)
Boils
Dermis- swelling, redness, pain- treatment- antibiotics, surgery- prevention good hygiene
Melanoma
Epidermis, and part dermis– moles growing, unusual changes in skin- treatment: radiation therapy- prevention- wear sunscreen (cancer, if exposed to UV can spread)
Alopecia
Dermis, hair loss, itching, small dent in nails- treatment: injecting steroids prevention- protein rich diets, (hormonal changes)
Rosacea
Dermis & epidermis- rashes, skin getting thick– treatment: creams, medications prevention- stay hydrated (stress)
Poison Ivy, Poison oak, Poison Sumac Rash
Epidermis; Allergic Reaction, redness, itching, difficult breathing- treatment: creams- prevention: avoid plants (urushiol oil=allergic reaction)
Androgenic Alopecia
-Epidermis, and dermis; hair loss/thinning- treatment: laser treatment prevention: be genital with hair (genetic)
Basel Cell Carcinoma
Epidermis (could extend down to epidermis); shiny bumps/ small pink dent treatment: surgery for the wounds that don’t heal; photo-dynamics-prevention: wear sunscreen (exposure to UV rays)
Cellulitis
Epidermis and dermis- swelling: skin can be red, blisters Treatment: IV, anti blotter- Prevention: soap and water to keep the wound clean (open cracks in skin)
Eczema
Epidermis; itchy skin, inflamed skin, dislocated of skin- treatment: lotion, injected medication- prevention: take good skin care )inherited)
