Q
Pascal’s Triangle
A
Pascal’s Triangle can be used to determine the relative area of peaks in the H NMR spectra (due to splitting by n) hydrogens. It can also be used to determine the probability of combinations of two different events (e.g. out of 8 children, what is the probability of having 6 males and 2 females). The row of the triangle used corresponds to the number of events, but remember the top row is 0 events. Each row is the sum of the two numbers above it.
