How is the dashboard in Sage Intacct built?
It’s highly customisable. User is able to create their own personalized dashboard to see the exact figures they are interested in.
Upon clicking on a figure in question, Intacct will expand and elaborate on how the figure came to be and where the numbers come from.
How is it that with Intacct, users do not need to rely on IT to create advanced, custom reports?
Intacct allows users to craft their own custom reports, without working directly on databases, if what they need is not available in the library of predefined reports. It’s an intuitive ‘no code’ solution.
Describe the ‘approval’ system in Intacct
It is possible to allow a user to create a transaction, e.g an invoice, a sales receipt or a bill, however, before the bill hits the reports another user with higher level of permissions, e.g CFO or Financial Controller needs to have a look at the transaction and ‘approve’ themselves.
Good error prevention tool.
Is Intacct able to pull data from multiple entities onto the same dashboard?
Yes.
Sage Intacct does not only allow to hold multiple entities in one ‘instance’ of Intacct, it also holds them in one place. There is no need to export spreadsheets from each account holding one entity to consolidate them in excel, outside of Intacct.
Intacct can consolidate them with no external help.
Explain what is multiple entities consolidation in Intacct
Intacct is able to pull data from multiple companies, or, entities, into one place, in one instance of Intacct.
This includes the dashboard and reports.
Users can create their own personalised dashboards and reports that contain data of interest from multiple companies.
Sage Intacct has very robust consolidation capabilities.
Name 3 things that Intacct can consolidate.
Multiple entities (companies)
Multiple currencies
Multiple geographies
Elaborate on Intacct selling point of ‘real-time visibility’
Intacct not only has a vast library of financial reports available at hand, it also allows to personalize dashboards and create custom reports to view exactly what is important at the moment. This capability saves time on drilling through rigid default reports and breaks the notion of a fixed dashboard so no data is hidden or difficult to access.
Can Intacct stay compliant to multiple legislations?
Yes but no.
Starter Edition is no fit for multi-national companies and it cannot stay compliant to legislations in multiple countries at the same time.
Full Version, however, is Multi-Tax so it can.
What are ‘Inter-company transactions’. Does Sage Intacct support them?
These would be transactions between companies held within one instance of a financial solution.
Intacct does support this feature.
How Intacct stop users from viewing data they are not authorized to see?
Sage Intacct support ‘permissions-based access’ to information.
The super user (user with the most control, like Financial Controller or CFO) can decide how much visibility and access other users have.
How does ‘discussion’ or ‘chat’ feature work in Intacct?
Intacct allows users to discuss transactions. This way, all discussions can be held together with the transaction in question to make audits much easier.
