Insulin - Indications (4)

A

Type 1 Diabetes - replace insulin that isnt naturally produced endogenously
Type 2 Diabetes - used when oral Hypoglycaemics are inadequate in controlling blood glucose.
Diabetic Ketoacidosis - IV insulin
Hyperkalaemia - insulin forced uptake of K (combined with glucose)
