A

Interpersonal factors. Prisoners bring their social backgrounds with them to prison which influences their adaption to the prison. They are not blank slates when entering prison, and many normative systems would be imported.

A

Situational factors. Aggression is the product of stressful and oppressive conditions, such as crowding, staff experience and inducement of fear and frustration.
EG Trainee nurses more likely to suffer violent assault than experienced. More experienced offers less likely to be assaulted in prisons.
