Advantages of sysprep

- Saves time by coping OS, applications, and desktop settings across machines with similar hardware
- Reference images can be copied through a network connection, or can be copied on to a DVD
Disadvantages of sysprep
- Third party tool or Image capture software is required to copy image
- Earlier versions of sysprep will not work on Windows 10
- Sysprep will not detect any hardware that is not plug and play
