Why do we need bible doctrine / instruction in righteousness?
2 Timothy 3:17
That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

2 Peter 1:21
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake [as they were] moved by the Holy Ghost.

Exodus 31:18

THE WORD INSPIRED IS A TRANSLATION OF THE GREEK WORD THEOPNEUSTOS, MEANING GOD-BREATHED. THUS THE ORIGIN OF SCRIPTURE IS GOD, NOT MAN; IT IS GOD-BREATHED.
What is the bible as a whole?
The bible is God-given truth expressed in the language of men.
