This is when the inspector leaves the family broke but the news of what they did to Eva .
His involvement?
The inspector is involved in the case because he is the one reporting it to the Birlings however he knows about the death before the authorities so we don’t know how he knew Eva smith let alone how she died.
One Eva smith has gone but there are millions and millions and millions of others still left with us.
This is showing how he is trying to show the contrast in classes and how they are acting superior to the lower class people who struggle in the world yet people like the Birlings are still in there upper class podium making other lives miserable.
Who is the inspector?
He is a man who nobody knows who just turned up in the night and started to accuse the Birlings and Gerald Croft of killing eva smith. However we don’t really know if he is an inspector because of the mysterious ending.
