How is inspector G presented throughout the play?
The inspector is presented as socialist with an awareness for social responsibility. The inspector is presented as omnipotent and imposing. Throughout the play he is successful in getting all of the characters to admit their roles in the death of Eva Smith. While doing this, the inspector is presented as humourless and blunt. He acts as priestley’s socialist mouthpiece.
