What is the role of the CQC?
They inspect health and care provision in England e.g. hospitals, GP practises, nursing homes etc.
What is the role of Ofsted?
To inspect early years and education services e.g. schools, adoption agencies.
Name 3 ways external agencies inspect care settings?
Observe quality of service provided to ensure it is safe, feedback from service users such as surveys, asses written reports and care plans, assess complaints.
Name 5 ways councils regulate
Ensure training is up to date, ensuring staff are DBS checked, ensuring policies and procedures are being followed, ensuring complaints are addressed, ensuring all poor practise is reported
