Each hydrant shall be inspected at
least twice a year. When ?

How shall hydrant inspections be performed ?
An officer, or an acting officer, and not less than three firefighters, exclusive of
chauffeur, shall perform inspectional duty with properly operating radio equipped
apparatus.

28.5.1 Auxiliary fire protection equipment in tunnels and on bridges, also towers,
shafts and approaches thereto, shall be inspected semi-annually during the

Operational units shall conduct familiarization drills of bridges and tunnels
within their administrative areas under the supervision of Chief Officers

When violations are found in spaces which are NYC Transit occupied only, the PINK copy of the violation order shall be forwarded
to the Public Transportation Safety Unit
Inspection and enforcement procedures in leased commercial spaces on Transit Authority property should proceed
in the same manner as if the space was not on Transit Authority property.
All violations, summonses and enforcement proceedings in leased spaces on Transit Authority property shall be directed to the
lessee or his/her agent, not to the Transit Authority.
When a condition is found in such a space that requires an A-8 Fire Department Referral Report or a special report, such reports shall be forwarded to the
Public Transportation Safety Unit (PTSU) for issuance to the Transit Authority.
