Promotes health & safety awareness and best practices for both RICS members & firms to ensure safe working practices.
What are some of the factors set out in Surveying Safely?
- Risk assesment principles / Assessing Hazards
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Lone working and remote locations
- Site Inspections & access issues
What checklist should you follow when inspecting a site alone?
- Tell someone where you are going and when you leave the building
- Wear appropiate protective clothing when appropiate such as high vis, hard hat, protective footwear, safety goggles etc.
- Sign in and out of buildings or construction sites
- Consider if safe to inspect alone

- Inspection of the local area
- External inspection
- Internal Inspection
