Anthropology(Human Study) studies humans, past and present, including our cultures, languages, history, and evolution.
Anthropologist
An anthropologist is a person who studies humans, their cultures, history, and evolution. They explore how people live, think, and interact.

Aspects of culture that cannot be seen :

Manners/Behavior Norms (eg. chewing with mouths closed)
Gender Roles (Expectation of behaviour for men/women
Beauty Ideals (What is considered beautiful)
Authority Figures (Person in charge or receives extra attention. Making decisions (eg. calling the judge “Your Honor”)
Health (Certain foods are considered healthy and some not)
Personal Space (Eg. in one country taxi is a space for you and your own passengers. In another country, many unrelated people can be in one taxi.
Concept of Time - (structured) coming announced vs (flexible) unannounced)
Globalization
Globalization means people and places around the world are becoming more connected (-> More production: Things are made in different parts of the world.
More distribution: These things are sent or shared globally.)
Collectivism
Society depends on group harmony and consensus (prioritize strong social ties and belonging with a larger group)
Individualism
Society depends upon the values of freedom and independence (responsible for their own well-being)
Nuclear/Immediate Family
When there is 2 parents and their children
Joint/Extending Family
When they live with nuclear+beyond nuclear families(uncles, grandparents, cousins)
Single-parent Family
When there is 1 parent and her/his children
Blended Family
When two single-parent family joined together to make a bigger family
Adoptive Family
When a child/children is adopted into a new family
Foster Family
When they temporary takes care of a child
Chosen Family
When friends/other supportive who act as a family AS AN ADULT (no children)
Endogamy
Marrying within the same group(caste, religion, area, race, economy, education)
Exogamy
Marrying outside of their own groups
Patriarchy
The men is the ruler of the family or society
Matriarchy
The female is the head of the family or society
Qualitative Research
Qualitative research aims to describe human behavior and the contexts it occurs fully.
Quantitative Research
Quantitative research finds patterns in numerical data that explain aspects in human behavior
Primary Source
First-hand record of an event or topic written by a participant in or witness to that event or topic.
Secondary Source
Information is written by individuals who did not experience firsthand the events about which they are writing.
Ethnoscape
Movement of people (migrants, travelers)
Eg. People go to different places more often for : Tourism, economic migrants, refugees
Technoescape
Movement of technology
Eg. You can be anywhere in the world and have Apple iPhones
