A

1- micro hemorrhages in the ligament and activate coag cascade
2- approx 50% tear
3- Complete separation of ligament ends

What is the “terrible triad” injury of the knee?

A

Medial meniscus attached to tibial collateral ligament; often injured together (Terrible Triad - ACL, MCL and MM) This occurs when a Lateral force to knee w/ foot fixed in external rotation
