Tell me about yourself

A

RELAX

> > As you know, I’m Eve. I’m a strategist and creative hybrid.
I grew up wanting to be an artist while also loving and humbly excelling at math - natural left and right brainer.
College - started off in design - specifically, visual communication - bringing words and imagery together to engage a specific audience.
More appreciation for analog art, Shifted to marketing major - Marketing.
First job out of college - first employee of a start up! Created brand from bottom up - led brand marketing, content and creative - from ideation, strategy and design/copy.
Joined Nike team - Running and Training Brand. Crafted narratives for local marketing campaigns. Was copy writer for newsletters, emails, event invites.
Shifted to Digital team where I was the end to end owner of creating content - creative and copy direction and execution.
EKIN/Product Marketing Lead in Bay - creating localized narratives for product marketing campaigns; from concept to execution; worked with product teams to inform evolution of physical and digital products; informed tone for nike women category;
Google’s Mindfulness for Leaders, Lightyear Leadership 1 +2
Caught the start up bug in the bay - taught yoga, mindful running classes, meditation; also did brand identity design consulting for small start ups
worked for lululemon for a little - brand and community lead
went back to nike as a consultant on the global team - merging physical and digital teams to create one connected experience; helped create brand narratives and campaigns, localized them to different countries; worked closer with product teams to ensure the true intention of the product cut through while also speaking to the consumer at hand;
full time again at nike - digital channel / content strategy lead - directing and executing the creation of narratives and content - from copy writing and imagery/design direction for hundreds of campaigns; focus on the app space, features, capabilities; how can we use copy - often mixed with design, to engage and retain users; to work out;
interested in vsco because it’s encouraging you to flex your creative skills; not necessarily buy tons of products that produce waste. also a mindful social app that I admire; looking to work for a company that truly puts user health and well being at the center;

A

> > A job where I can flex my skills as a strategist and creative hybrid for a digital product that improves the lives of others and puts their health at the center.

Why are you interested in the Sr. Content Strategist role?

A

> > To me, words are one of the most powerful tools to use to inspire action - for me, I focus on positive action
In this case, it would be not only inspiring, but enabling others to create through storytelling that surrounds the product, features, challenges, tutorials and more - for creatives.
As a creative, I appreciate what this job has to offer for the creative community, as well as myself.

What is your experience with writing?

A

I’ve produced brand narratives, copy direction, writing and editing in every role I’ve held across multiple digital and physical formats, but most of my experience exists in the app space for activations up living products and features.

Why you?

A

As a strategist and creative hybrid in the app space, I have the innate ability to transmute insights into intentional and creative plans and narratives that speak to a specific audience - to ensure they feel seen and a part of a community they want to actively remain a part of.

Also, as a human, I have the ability to see the potential in everyone, passion for supporting people as they pursue their dreams and I would put that same energy towards every day at VSCO - for peers and also creators in the app.

Outside of work: Eclectic - will work with any medium. Love analog art, poetry, photography, dance, design, interior design and writing;

A

I’ve donated, read, marched, participated in weekly calls, read anti-racist daily every day, speak up at work and in life - to tear down white supremecist ways of thinking as well as systems.
