Obtaining information
- Locate the informant.

- Prevent unauthorised people entering the scene.
- Record in your notebook details of anyone entering the scene.
- Brief authorised people.
- Report and record suspicious activity.
- Avoid contaminating the scene.
- Be aware of any animals and remove them from the scene of possible.
