Q

Describe three differences between the processes of mitosis and meiosis (3)

A
  1. Mitosis involves 1 cell division whereas meiosis involves 2 cell divisions.
  2. Mitosis produces 4 genetically identical daughter cells whereas meiosis produces 4 genetically different daughter cells, which means there’s variation.
  3. Mitosis produces cells with 2 of each chromosome whereas meiosis produces cells with one if each chromosome.
