20-40 mcg for 3 to 4 times a day
20 minutes
4 hours
Dry mouth, dizziness, nausea

What is a LABA
Long Acting Beta-2-agonists
M.O.A of LABA
Bronchodilation through activation of beta 2 receptors on airway smooth muscle.
Reduces lung hyperinflation and increases respiratory capacity in exercise and at rest

Dose: 50 mcg BD
Onset: 20 minutes
Duration: 12 hours

Dose: 6-12 mcg BD

Tiotropium Bromide
Dose: 5mcg OD
Onset: 30 minutes
Duration: 24 hours
Side effects: dry mouth, nausea, headache
What is ICS
Inhaled Corticosteroids

Anti-inflammatory effect on bronchial mucosa and reduces hyper responsiveness of the bronchial tract
Onset and side effects of ICS
Improvement in lung function occurs within 2 days
Cough, headache
