Q

What is the function of the gubernaculum?

A

The gubernaculum helps the testes descend from the abdominal cavity. The testes will then follow the contraction of the gubernaculum which passes through multiple muscle layers. Migration ends in the scrotum.

Q

The Scrotal Blood Supply is divided:
Anterior Portions of the Scrotum
Posterior Portions of the Scrotum

A

Anterior Portions of The Scrotum–>
blood supply occurs from the anterior scrotal branches from the pudendal artery

Posterior Portions of the Scrotum–>
blood supply occurs from the posterior scrotal branches from the pudendal artery

Q

What is the route of the vas deferens?

What is the blood supply for the vas deferens?

A

It goes from the testes to the epididymis through to the ejaculatory duct.

Blood supply for the vas deferens will be–> artery of the ductus deferens

17
Q

Where does the Right Gonadal Artery come from? Where does the Left Gonadal Artery come from?

A

It comes from the branch of the Aorta from the Right Side.

**It comes from the Left Renal Artery

18
Q

What is a varicocele?

A

A varicocele causes the compression and expansion of veins that follow the testicular/gonadal artery.

***The compression of the Left Renal Artery causes overfilling of the plexus + expansion of the left testicle.
