What is tree charlotte
A non-profit that works with the city of Charlotte to protect and grow our tree canopy
Tree stores
every resident can get two free trees, which are far bigger than the seedlings. They’re 5-10 feet tall from a variety of species ranging from dogwoods to oaks. Our next store is in the fall, Oct. 6 at Camp Northend off Statesville Avenue.

One appropriate for urban environment
Not many fruit trees since require specialized care, are high maintenance, more susceptible to disease and insects and have shorter life span so don’t contribute to canopy as well
