How did wealth influence voting behaviour in the 2008 election/ what was the trend?

A

. In the 2008 election, those who earned up to between $30,000 and $50,000 dollars were more likely to vote Democrat.
. After the $50,000 to $75,000 mark however, the trend of voting Democrat kind of fell off with their not being much difference between wealth affecting voting behaviour up until $200,000.

. Those who earned under $30,000 or between $30,000 and $49,000 were more likely to vote Republican than Democrat.
. Those who earned above the $50,000 mark however voted more for the Democrats than the Republicans.

A

. Those who had qualifications in High School or less voted more for the Republicans than the Democrats/ 45% Democrat, 51% Republican.
. Those who had some college qualifications, voted more for the Republicans than the Democrats/ 42% Democrat and 52% Republican.
. Those who had a graduate qualification voted more for the Democrats than the Republicans/ 49% Democrat and 45% Republican.
. Those who had a postgraduate qualification voted quite largely in favour of the Democrats rather than the Republicans/ 58% Democrat and 37% Republican.
