Organ involvement in inflammatory myopathies
Proximal muscles weakness that’s symmetric, upper 1/3 of esophagus, skin, ILD, arthritis, heart
Antibody in inflammatory myopathy
Anti-Jo1; associated with arthritis
Inclusion body myositis
Affects men, affects thigh muscle and finger flexors, resistant to steroids
Diagnostic features of inflammatory myopathies
Elevated CPK, abnormal EMG
Serious complication of giant cell arteritis
Thoracic aortic aneurysms
Association of PMR with GCA
1/2 of cases of GCA also have PMR
