Cefepime (Maxipime): used for
intra-abdominal infections and UTIs; do not take if pt has a penicillin allergy and it may cause antibiotic associated colitis
Doxycycline: tetracycline used to treat
Syphilis and Chlamydia
Tetracycline: treat
G/C infections
People taking “cyclines” should avoid
the sun and not use during tooth development
The sulfamethoxazole / Trimethoprim are
Bactrim and Septra
