What are the recommendations regarding HBV screening?

What Level is this recommendation?
1) We should screen for HBV in adolescents and adults at increased risk for inaction with HBV. Folks should be screened EVEN IF THEY WERE VACCINATED before being screened for HBV infection.
2)
- Folks from Asia, afria, pacific island, south America (where HBV is highly prevalent)
- US born persons not vaccinated s infants whose parents are from these places
- HIV (+) people
- MSM
Household contacts or sexual partners of folks with HBV
3) B Level
Whom should we counsel (adolescents and adults) regarding STI risk/ Sexual health? (4)
What level is this recommendation?
1) Sexually active adolescents and adults at increased risk of getting STI. This includes:
- Diagnosed with STI in past year
- Inconsistent condom use
- Multiple sex partners or sex partners at high risk of STI
- Folks in population with high STI prevalence (IVDA, HIV (+), sexual and gender minorities, recently incarcerated)
2) Level B
What are the recommendations regarding HCV screening in adults?
What level is this recommendation?
1) All folks 18-79 yo should be screened at least once in their lifetime for HCV. If with continued risk (i.e. IVDA, etc.) can screen periodically in intervals decided by clinician.
2) Level B
What are the recommendations regarding screening for HIV in adults/adolescents (which age range should be screened)?
What level recommendation is this?
1) ALL individuals 15-65 yoa should be screened at least ONCE in their lifetime for HIV. All preggos should be screened at initial prenatal visits as well.
1) This is a Level A recommendation
What are the USPSTF recommendations regarding PrEP for HIV (to whom should we give this (3))?
What level recommendation is this?
1) We should offer PrEP to:
a. MSM
- serodiscordent sex partner
- inconsistent condom use during anoreceptive sex
- STI dx within last 6 mos
b. Hetero (men&women)
- serodiscordant partner
- Inconsistent condom use during sex with partner whose HIV status is unknown or high risk partner (IVDA, MSM&W)
- STI within last 6 mos
c. All individuals participating in transactional sex

1) Whom should we screen for syphilis infection (6)?

1) We should screen those at high risk:
- MSM
- HIV (+)
- Hx incarceration
- Hx commercial sex work
- men younger than 29 yo
- racial minorities (?)

1) Whom should we screen for GC/Chlamydia?
2) What level recommendation is this?
1) All sexually active women = 24 years of age + older women at high risk
2) B level recommendation
