Erythema nodosum
A
characterised by bilateral painful and erythematous nodules or plaques of sudden onset which tends to affect the anterior legs, shins, knees and ankles.
Cause - GAS, TB, Yersinia infections, Drugs e.g. COCP. Pregnancy, autoimmune and malignancies. or Idiopathic.
Duration 3-6 wks
Tx - self limiting, NSAIDS
