Local vs Systemic Infection
Local infection only affects one area, particularly the site of entry. S&S: heat, redness, swelling, pain, tenderness.
Systemic infection affects the entire body. S&S: fever, leukocytosis, uneasiness, anorexia, N&V, lymph node enlargement

Not washing hands, helping sick patients, hazardous chemicals/drugs, dealing with infectious waste, accidental needlesticks
