Six External Causes of Disease
Wind, Cold, Damp, Dryness, Summer Heat, and Fire
When can emotions cause disease?
When they are prolonged, intense, repressed or not acknowledged that they can become a cause of imbalance.
Seven Internal Causes of Disease
Anger, Joy, Sadness, Over-Thinking, Grief, Fear, Shock
Anger
Qi Rises Up, Frustration, Exasperation, Feelings of Defeat, Resentment and Bitterness, Repressing
Joy
Makes Loose Qi, Manic and excessive Joy, lack of joy
Sadness
Qi disappears, Crushed Spirits, living in past, unfulfilled ambitions, loss of hope.
Grief
Often repressed, disappearing qi, when their experience of life does not match how that would like it to be, hard time letting go
Overthinking
Knots qi, pensiveness or ponderousness, obsessed, worry. A man’s thoughts should restrict themselves to the immediate situation.
Fear
Qi descends, State of Agitation about the future. What If…,
Shock
Qi becomes disordered, Fright- affects heart and Kidney, emotional or physical trauma,
The Law of Cure
When treating an individual, the Homoeopath observes that the symptoms will always move from:
(a) the vital organs to the less vital organs
(b) from within, outwards
(c) from above, downwards
(d) in reverse order of appearance
