Premed:
- aspiration prophylaxis (famotidine, metoclopramide, non-particulate antacid)
- airway analgesia (nebulized lidocaine, viscous lidocaine, lidocaine spray/FO application)
- 100% oxygen
- sedation as needed (ketamine, precedex, versed, fentanyl)
Room setup:
- difficult airway equipment
- monitors
- positioning (head up, sniffing, c-spine stabilization)
Induction:
- after intubation (volatile vs IV)

A
suction stomach & oropharynx reverse NMB 100% oxygen turn off VA \+/- IV lidocaine extubate once fully awake
