A
Maternal: 
PET/Eclampsia
Prolonged ROM
Chorioamnionitis
Maternal medical conditions (e.g. DM)
Previous unexplained SB

Foetal:
IUD
IUGR
Prolonged pregnancy

Contraindications to IOL

A

Woman with previous uterine surgery or previous classical C/S
Grandmultiparous woman
Any C/Is to normal vaginal delivery (e.g. CPD, placenta previa, vasa previa, transverse lie, etc.).

What is the Bishop score, and describe its parameters

A

A score used to assess the favourability of the cervix for NVD.
Parameters:
1. Dilation: closed, 1-2cm, 3-4cm, >5cm
2. Effacement: 0-30%, 40-50%, 60-70%, >80%
3. Consistency: Firm, medium, soft (only out of 2)
4. Station: -3, -2, -1/0, +1/+2
5. Position: posterior, middle, anterior (only out of 2)

Score >9 means it is favourable.
