Individual differences area looks at how people are unique and different, differ in their personality, behaviour
eg, Baron-Cohen found people with autism lack theory of mind

Weaknesses of Individual Differences
- ethical issues
> working with vulnerable groups so they may not be able to fully give informed consent - sometimes subjecyive
> freud + little hans
Similarities between Freud + Baron Cohen
Both help us understand disorders so they can be used by therapists to help people with disorders
Freud = unconscious reasons why Little Hans had phobia of horses
Baron Cohen = people with AS lack theory of mind + have problems identifying emotions from looking at eyes
