Glyceryl Trinitrate

A

Tx of Angina:

Sublingual- 1 tablet
Aerosol Spray 400-800 micrograms.
repeat after 5 mins up to 3 doses.

Control of HTN and MI durinf and after cardiac surgery, induction of hypertension, congestive heart failure, unstable angina:

IV infusion: 10-200 micrograms/minute (max dose 400 micrograms/minute)

Diamorphine

A

Acute Pain:
IM/SC= 5mg/ 4hrs
Slow IV= 1.25-2.5mg/ 4 hrs

Acute Pulmonary Oedema:
Slow IV injection- 2.5-5mg at 1mg/minute

MI:
Slow IV injection
Adult- 5mg followed by 2.5-5mg if required at 1-2mg/minute

Elderly
Is half the dose.

Metoclopramide Hydrochloride

A

Symptomatic Tx of N&V (including w/ acute migraine, delayed chemotherapy, radiotherapy and the prevention of post op):
Adult (up to 60kg) 500micrograms/kg daily /3 when adminstered by slow IV.
Over 60kg- 10mg up to 3 times a day.
