What is the definition of an independent contractor?
Independent contractor means any person who renders service for a specified recompense for a specified result, under the control of his principal as to the result of his work only and not as to the means by which such result is accomplished.

- Whether the principal or worker supplies the instrumentalities, tools, and place of work,
- The length of time for which the services are to be performed,
- The method of payment, whether by time or by job
- Whether the work is part of the principal’s regular business, and
- Whether the parties believe they are creating an employer-employee relationship.
What is the 9th factor for determining if a person is an IC or EE.
Whether the individual can be fired at will.
