• Should be kept at a constant 37 degrees C
• Should have a way to monitor its internal temperature
• Proper humidity should be maintained by leaving a dish of water inside the incubator (this must be changed regularly so it doesn’t become contaminated)
• Be sure it is cleaned regularly to avoid contamination of your samples
